The best kettlebell workout apps in 2026 (only one counts your swings)

Kettlebell training has a counting problem. The classic protocols are volume protocols: Simple & Sinister is a hundred one-arm swings a day, ladders and EMOMs live and die on the count, and nobody wants to stop mid-flow to tap a screen with chalked hands. The apps below approach that problem differently, and one of them, ours, solves it by watching.

We build MyRepsCount. Competitor details come from their store listings and reviews as of August 2026.

Fitify Kettlebell

The best structured kettlebell programming.

Reviewers consistently rank Fitify's kettlebell app best overall for good reason: a deep library of pre-made kettlebell workouts, clean video demonstrations of every movement, custom workout building, and a fair price. If you are learning kettlebell movements or want a program handed to you, this is the strongest pick. You count your own reps.

BeStronger

The best fully free option for routines.

BeStronger keeps its main features free on both platforms: pre-made workouts by muscle group, a large illustrated exercise library, custom workout building, and daily plans. As a free kettlebell routine library it is hard to argue with. Again, the counting is on you.

Kettlebell Workout Wizard

The best random workout generator.

A niche tool that does one fun thing: generates a random kettlebell WOD matched to your level. If your training is going stale, a randomizer is a cheap fix. It is a generator, not a tracker.

MyRepsCount (ours)

The only one that counts your reps.

Ours watches through your phone's camera and counts kettlebell swings, goblet squats, sumo squats, single-arm cleans, single-arm clean and press (left and right tracked separately), and thrusters, hands-free, along with 50+ other movements for the rest of your training. Set up a Tabata or AMRAP with swings in it and the count just happens, which is exactly what a hundred-swing day wants. The counting, the workout builder, and the leaderboards are free on iPhone and Android, and camera processing stays on the device.

What we do not have: kettlebell-specific coaching content. Fitify's videos teach a clean swing better than we do. Plenty of people run both: learn the movement there, count the volume here.

If the counting is the part you have been missing, that is the part we built: App Store / Google Play. There are kettlebell workouts in the free library to start from.
